Children were an important part of life in Ancient Mesopotamia as they are in the communities of this age. Children were seen as warrant of the continuation of generation and social life. Protecting the children against external threats was one of the major responsibilities of families in archaic age societies as it is now. In Ancient Mesopotamia, children used to grow up and socialize in a family in which the father is the authority.
