Abstract: Marc Pierini and Jørgen Carling address the implications of the current refugee crisis resulting from the Syria conflict to European politics. Marc Pierini analyzes the possible consequences of the arrival of refugees for the politics of the European Union and the international legal refugee regime. They also touch on the potential benefits and challenges of their integration into the societies of European countries.
