Abstract

Abstract Formulas for errors of algorithms for conversion of hyperbolic to geographic coordinates are derived in this article. It has been proved that the noniterative algorithm has errors caused by simplifications necessary to obtain a noniterative solution, errors not present in the iterative algorithm. A method of analysis of additional errors is presented which makes it possible to adjust the accuracy of geodetic formulas to the required accuracy of the conversion algorithm and to the accuracy of the navigation system.
