Abstract

AbstractThis abstract states that there is a chance of occurrence of an error during the transmission of the signal through a channel and while these errors can be a single bit or multiple bits. During these space applications, it is observed that we have to consider various parameters like power, area, and delay. Various codes are compared for the error correction codes. These codes can also manage and even enhance error in memory coverage in accordance with the Matrix and CLC codes. In space applications, there is a chance of occurrence of error due to cosmic radiations. These can be corrected by using different error codes or consideration of an algorithm. Different parameters like area, power, and delay were also considered. In this paper, authors perform study on various available error correction codes and concluded various challenges of various error correction codes and try to summarized that which is more suitable in what condition. After comparing different error correction codes, it can be concluded that the modified matrix code called column line code (CLC) is based on the extended Hamming code that can be widely used in space applications.KeywordsMultiple cell upsetsReed muller codeSingle and multiple bit errorsDetection and error correction
