Abstract

The growing importance of information, as well as it’s fast dissemination in¬side the contemporary society, brings into consideration an increased preocu¬pation with error in the communication process, specially in the news media. This article aims to explore some applications of the taxionomy of error pro¬posed by James Reason’s GEMS model and Dan Sperber and Deirdre Wilson’s Relevance Theory, in journalistic activities, mainly the ones that take place in an on-line environment of collaborative information production.
