Abstract

AbstractThe article offers a theory of eroticism; a reading of Bruce McCormack’s kenotic model through it; and a new, interauctorial, eroticist construction of kenōsis. It aims for a varied readership, inside, outside and in‐between strict specialisms. The eroticist theory applied to the God‐human results from and combines reflection in philosophy and art theory; in addition, it is partially developed and illustrated on the basis of Lionel Messi’s style of playing football. The analysis of McCormack’s divine ontology is done through the culturally definable Romanian word dor. And, throughout, all matters regarding trinitarian ontology are addressed by means of the specific method of ‘psychological ontology’ co‐authored with McCormack and which grounds ontological discourse on God in the psychology (the feeling, knowing, willing, etc.) of Christ’s person.
