Abstract

This study deals with principles of equality and inclusiveness by putting special emphasis on the principle of proportional equality. Scopes and limitations of the concept of proportional equality take central position of the study. Meritarian and Compensatory principles are discussed in context of India. Study briefly touches problems arising out of inequality as social exclusion.This study starts with the discussion of evolution of principle and at the end suggests the way forward for achievement of equality and of opportunity.
