Abstract

The one-dimensional diffusion processes of solitons in trans-polyacetylene are studied by timedomain analysis of EPR measurements. The temperature dependence of the diffusion rate constant appears to obey a simple power law. Monte Carlo simulations of the diffusion processes indicate that impurity traps can cause a significant slow down of the overall diffusion rate.
