Abstract
(Reg Anesth Pain Med. 2015;40(3):223–231) The use of lipid emulsion combined with epinephrine is commonly administered during cardiac arrest from local anesthetic overdose. However, the most effective time to administer epinephrine in relation to the lipid emulsion is unknown. Currently, there are no studies that have explored this issue. The authors conducted this study to investigate the effects of epinephrine when administered before, immediately following, and 1 minute after a lipid emulsion bolus.
