Abstract

Objective: Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer among women. Especially in developing countries, it is the leading cause of death. The GDP of the Republic of Korea is the tenth largest in the world and regarded as a developed country. Since the cervical cancer screening program was started, the age-standardized rate (ASR) of cervical cancer has decreased from 18.6 per 100,000 women in 1999 to 10.8 per 100,000 women in 2016.
