Abstract
Platinum-based chemotherapy in combination with immunotherapy is a standard of care in advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. However, some of them will not benefit from this combination. A better understanding of cancer mechanisms and drug resistance is highly needed, and 3D culture models might help to understand cell-cell and tumor cell-microenvironment interactions. Our study aimed to develop a model of tridimensional multicellular tumor spheroids (MCTS) including non-squamous NSCLC cells with various baseline PD-L1 expression with or without tumor microenvironment, to analyze the impact of chemotherapy.
