Abstract

Pleural adhesions complicate lung cancer surgery. Specifically, pleural adhesiolysis is associated with increased operative time and excess blood loss. The clinical and prognostic impact of plural adhesions in lung cancer surgery, however, has not been established. The aim of this study was to determine whether pleural adhesions had a clinical and prognostic impact on patients who underwent lung cancer surgery.
