Abstract

Perovskite-type LaMnO3 obtained by the sol–gel method was used as a catalyst for imine synthesis in a continuous flow system. The catalytic results revealed that the increase in temperature improves the catalytic activity of LaMnO3, enhancing its conversion efficiency and selectivity. At 260 °C the system showed the best result for conversion (>88%) and selectivity (>93%). No organic solvent was used in the catalytic reactions, representing an important advantage in terms of simplicity and safety.
