Abstract
This symposium highlights the opportunities presented by environmental challenges and the role that entrepreneurs and business enterprises can play in generating ethical and sustainable solutions. The key objective of this symposium is to explore how the practice of sustainable entrepreneurship is a solution when faced with environmental challenges such as climate change, natural resource- constrained decision making, the governance of water, and increased waste generation, among others. Taken together the papers in the symposium broaden our understanding of factors which have come to shape the practice of sustainable entrepreneurship and opportunities for new venture creation in the context of climate change.
