Introduction

The form and development of the Early Medieval agglomeration at Žatec have been recently outlined using a geomorphologic description of the location, agglomeration space zoning and information derived from relative and absolute pottery chronologies (Čech 2008a, 36–60). That study was devoted to completing an outline of the pottery chronology based on select and specific terrain situations (Čech 2008b, 91–102).
