Abstract

Development and first evaluation results of e-learning modules for occupational medicine There are only a few freely accessible and comprehensive e-learning options in occupational medicine. As part of the model project “Gesund arbeiten in Thüringen” (GAIT), five interactive e-learning modules on occupational medicine topics have been developed by the German Society for Occupational and Environmental Medicine (DGAUM) since 2018 and duly certified by the Bavarian State Medical Association. From the publication of the first modules in 2018 to the end of 2021, a total of 5,738 people made use of the free offer. The feedback from the 818 people who took part in the voluntary evaluation during the observation period was extremely positive across all categories at 1.4 (very good) and corresponds to the comments made in free text form. Given the great potential of e-learning, good use and positive feedback, the German Society for Occupational and Environmental Medicine (DGAUM) should be encouraged and supported in continuously developing the existing e-learning offer.
