Abstract
The properties of steady incompressible flow in the entry region of curved ducts are studied theoretically for large Reynolds numbers. Under the assumption that the inviscid core flow may be approximated sufficiently well by a potential vortex the boundary layer equations are solved by means of integral methods. In order to improve the accuracy momentum as well as energy relationships are used.
