Abstract

Clausius analytically expressed the first two principles of thermodynamics and introduced the concept of entropy. Together with entropy, he worked on the concept of desegregation of the body and the influence of heat on the arrangement of particles in it. This rereading of Clausius' memoirs intends to contribute to the “quasi-macroscopic” understanding of the concept of entropy and, at the same time, to offer a didactic material with a historical approach to the subject.
