Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the strategy, implementation, and implications of entrepreneurial-based Islamic boarding school management in Pesantren Jawahirul Hikmah Tumpuk, Besuki, Tulungagung. It was descriptive-qualitative research. The data were collected in the form of a description according to the actual situation. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviewing 12 informants, observations, and documentation. Data analysis was done logically and systematically following some steps included data reduction, data display, and conclusions suggested by Miles and Huberman. The results of the study showed that first, the entrepreneurship education strategy used was the involvement of students in every stage of entrepreneurial activity. Second, the implementation of entrepreneurship education strategies used peer tutorial and trial and error methods. Third, the implications of entrepreneurship education were the increase of economic independence and institutional management as well as the increase of the independence of students.
