Abstract

This paper aims at appreciating the need for and relevance of Entrepreneurial perspectives as a strategic development intervention to transform the corporate culture and creating values. Business growth, especially the growth of a Service providing firm like Higher education institutions, has important implications on the firm and the stakeholders. Growth makes a firm bigger and hence introduces a number of managerial challenges forcing changes in the prevailing corporate culture and values of Quality working and management orientation. The global economy is no doubt creating profound and substantial changes for organizations and industries throughout the world. Markets, consumers, competitors and technology are constantly changing. As a result of increased global competition, organizations have been forced to rethink how they produce and deliver products and services. The challenge for a company to remain a growing concern is to establish a competitive advantage. In this context, an entrepreneurial perspective as a strategic development intervention is of great interest for corporations as a means to enhance the innovative abilities of their employees and, at the same time, increase corporate success through the creation of new corporate ventures. This paper attempts to broaden the perspective of the stake holders in any organization by creating awareness about necessity to develop Quality awareness perspectives to manage transition at the right time to more effectively cope with, and manage, the growth process. An attempt has also been made to familiarize such people with the relevant techniques and best practices for managing and succeeding in transforming the corporate culture and creating values in a global business scenario. It is intended to equip the Managers, Administrators, Academicians and workers at different level in the organizational hierarchy to focus on creating a good understanding of the concept of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial perspectives as a strategic development intervention in terms of intrapreneurship, its impact on organizational culture and performance, and strategies to foster Intrapreneurship in an organization. Once we are focused, the approach will be to cover key issues of relevance and provide a good overall understanding of the management challenges in the context of continuous cultural and values dynamism in any organization.
