Abstract
The document is the product of a systematization of experiences that recovered the voices of the participants using interviews, focus groups and image associations. It was found that emergency remote education, used as a pilot of the program and employed due to the covid 19 pandemic, was a cultural artifact that facilitated the socialization of children with their peers and enabled the construction of meaningful learning anchored to their cognitive, affective, and social development. In addition, the hospital classroom was perceived as a source of emotional and social support for the children and their caregivers. Finally, the participating actors perceived that state entities should improve their responses to the educational demand of the hospitalized child population.
