Abstract

Enthalpies of complex formation between N,N-bis(carboxymethyl)aspartic acid (H4Y) with Co2+ ion at 298.15 K are determined by calorimetry over a wide range of ionic strengths (KNO3). Thermodynamic characteristics of the formation reactions of the complexes CoY2−, CoY26−, and Co(OH)Y3− are calculated at zero and other values of ionic strength. The obtained values are interpreted.
