Abstract

ABSTRACT Both diaspora and tourism are highly complex concepts. As an emerging tourism concept, diaspora tourism entangles the different perspectives related to tourism mobilities; however, it has received limited attention within tourism studies. The research focus and debates in current tourism studies in relation to diaspora remain unclear and fail to accurately address the emerging market segment(s) in diaspora tourism. This study identified a range of entanglements that shape current research around diaspora tourism in terms of the application contexts of diaspora tourism, linking concepts, concerned diaspora communities, and key research topics. Its use of Systematic Literature Network Analysis offers insights for future tourism research when studying tourist mobility.
