Abstract
The article considers the use of a centrifugal ball burnisher in the hardening finishing operations of machining the cylinder liner of a marine small-sized diesel engine of the 4Ч9,5/11 type. The use of a burnisher provides high hardness and low surface roughness and residual stresses, which have a compressive positive effect on the surface layers of the product.
