Abstract

The method of field observations of the movement and maneuvers of vehicles and pedestrians at the intersection of Leninsky Prospekt and Brusilov Street in the city of Voronezh was used. The reasons for the creation of dangerous and emergency traffic situations have been established. Identified shortcomings in the organization of the left turn from the street. It is proposed to pre-calculate the cycle of traffic light regulation at the intersection in the Excel program in order to determine the maximum permissible traffic intensity for the subsequent calculation of the cycle using the Webster formula for off-peak periods of intensity. A program for calculating the cycle of traffic signaling at the intersection in Microsoft Visual Studio 2007 was written for the proposed calculation of the cycle using the Webster formula.
