Abstract

In this essay we aim to identify, in the light of Freirean thought, limits and possibilities for a critical-liberating pedagogical practice in the context of Remote Teaching. We relate the pandemic context with the educational field with the following question as north: what limits and possibilities exist in the practice of Remote Education for a critical-liberating education? The results point out, among other limits: unprecedented intensification to teaching work; but, with the possibility that experiences with Remote Education are alternatives to critical dialogue with the oppressed and subversive to the dominant models.
