Abstract

Various methods for enriching CaO content in lime from shaft kilns are described. Methods adopted in this work include water and air elutriation, exposure to air, manual scrapping of lumps and sprinkling water on the lumps. It is shown that lime containing 40–60% CaO can be enriched to corresponding Ca(OH)2 of 80–85%.
