Abstract

Simple design of patch antenna has been introduced in this paper for bandwidth enhancement. Slotted technique is used for designing of this antenna. The antenna patch has been cut with two rectangular holes and four notches for better results. In proposed work, the bandwidth of antenna has been increased upto 60.16% at 5.194GHz resonant frequency with -33.29dB return loss. In the entire process, the achieved bandwidth lies between 3.147GHz to 5.855GHz. This frequency is suitable for wireless devices. This designed antenna removes maximum limitations of the patch antenna. It also provides a low profile, high gain and compact antenna design. The achieved antenna gain is 5.73dB and antenna efficiency is 99.95% at 5.194GHz resonant frequency. The software using for simulation is IE3D.
