Abstract

In this paper, the best technique is used for making a simple and slotted design of the microstrip patch antenna. A slot-loaded rectangular patch antenna is designed for achieving higher bandwidth. The patch has been cut in E-shaped along with a rectangular hole. In the proposed work, the bandwidth of the designed antenna has been increased up to 49.81% at 4.89 GHz resonant frequency under −29.49 dB return loss. In the entire process, the achieved bandwidth lies between 3.273 GHz and 5.444 GHz. This frequency is suitable for wireless devices. This design provides the best technique to solve the narrow bandwidth problem of the microstrip patch antenna. It also provides a low profile, high gain, and compact antenna design. The achieved gain is 7.43 dB and antenna efficiency is 99.89% at 4.89 GHz resonant frequency. The software using for simulation is IE3D.
