Abstract
ABSTRACTVideo grand rounds have been used in fields such as medicine, nursing, dentistry, and psychiatry to support clinical skills development. In the video grand rounds method, students observe a particular clinical skill via video and discuss their observations and treatment recommendations immediately after the viewing. Despite its prevalence in the medical field, this method has yet to be applied to Counselor Education. The authors summarize a small body of professional literature on video grand rounds in the fields of medicine and related disciplines. The researchers offer counselor educators and supervisors a model for how to incorporate video grand rounds into Counselor Education and supervision.
