Abstract

Recent enhancements to the Neutron Beam Tube (NBT) installed on the SLOWPOKE-2 research reactor at RMC are a positioning system for large aircraft components, a beamstop with semi-conformable shielding and a radioscopy system. In addition, various film-conversion screen combinations are being investigated and an indicator gauge for moisture in the honeycomb cells of the CF188 aircraft flight control surfaces being inspected has been developed. Quality control procedures have been written for this inspection and personnel have undergone Level II neutron radiography training.
