Abstract

Experimental Studies of CNT and CuO water based Nanofluids in heat exchangers were performed by varying flow rate from 2 to 4 Litres Per Minute and nanoparticle concentration from 0.1 to 0.3 percent by volume. Double pipe type and Shell & tube type heat exchangers were used for this study. The increment in heat transfer coefficient for both heat exchangers were determined and compared. It was found that the increment in Nusselt number for both CNT and CuO Nanofluids was more in shell and tube type as compared with Double pipe type heat exchanger.
