Abstract

The design of the lithium polymer battery with excellent performance needs proper exploration of the materials. Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA)-hosted solid nanocomposite polymer electrolyte systems are prepared by solvent-casting technique. A fixed amount of propylene carbonate (PC) is used as a plasticizer, barium titanate (BaTiO[Formula: see text] as a nanofiller and lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF[Formula: see text] as a dopant salt. The characterization of nanocomposite solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) was carried out using scanning electron microscope (SEM), and the outcome revealed the formation of a three-dimensional network with dispersed nanofillers. The dielectric constants and ionic conductivities for different wt.% of nanofiller with different temperature ranges are measured by impedance analyzer. It is observed that for 15[Formula: see text]wt.% of nanofiller-mixed electrolyte sample, a highest dielectric constant of 5166 and a maximum ionic conductivity of [Formula: see text] S[Formula: see text][Formula: see text][Formula: see text]cm[Formula: see text] are achieved.
