Abstract

Titanium (Ti) is a material commonly used in orthopedic implants. However, the lack of antimicrobial properties limits its application in implants. Herein, we constructed zinc (Zn)-doped barium strontium titanate (BST) films on Ti. The results show that the Zn-doped BST films can effectively improve the antibacterial ability of Ti substrates, which presents potential applications in bone repair.
