Abstract
In this work, we have synthesized the composite samples of Mn3O4 and YBCO with varying concentration of Mn3O4 by solid state reaction method. Further, the X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectra has confirmed the formation of orthorhombic phase formation in all the samples. Morphology and elemental composition analysis has been done using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-Ray (EDX) technique. Meissner effect i.e. magnetic levitation has been observed in all the samples. Critical temperature (Tc) has been determined from magnetic measurement (Magnetization vs. temperature (M-T)) using PPMS technique. Further, critical current density has been determined from Magnetization vs. magnetic field (M-H) measurement and enhancement in the current density has been observed which may be due to the presence of pinning centers in the YBCO matrix.
