Abstract

Surface morphology of Nano-sized Copper Oxide is redesigned by adding the shaping agent of different concentrations. The Prepared samples were subjected to various characterization studies such as XRD, SEM, UV–Vis spectroscopy and FTIR spectroscopy in order to investigate their crystallite structure, morphology, optical properties and functional vibrations. The structural analysis of prepared CuO samples revealed a monoclinic crystalline structure. The morphology of CuO samples reveals spindle shaped with size distribution ranging from 70 nm to 90 nm. The sample prepared with PEG600 seemed to possess the expected qualities to apply for antibacterial activity. The prepared samples consisting of enhancing surface morphology subjected to study the antibacterial activity for different strains of bacteria. The results showed that at the optimized structural properties of CuO Nano particles, moderate activity against the tested pathogens compared to the standard drug.
