Abstract
AbstractMIL‐53(Fe)‐GO composite photocatalysts were successfully fabricated via a simple solid‐phase synthesis strategy, and they were applied as efficient visible‐light‐driven photocatalysts for the oxidation of organic dyes and the reduction of Cr(VI). The experimental results demonstrated that MIL‐53(Fe)‐GO composites exhibit enhanced photocatalytic activities compared with the pure MIL‐53(Fe) sample. Based on the photoelectrochemical analyses, the loading of GO could enhance visible‐light absorption and accelerate the separation and transfer of charge carries, leading to the improvement of photocatalytic performance. Moreover, more intimate interfacial contact and active sites in the system could be achieved via a simple solid‐phase synthesis strategy. They could also play important role in the enhancement of photocatalytic performance. Besides, a possible photocatalytic mechanism was also investigated in detail.
