Abstract
A simple cellulose-templated method is applied to synthesize CaO-based catalysts with high activity and stability in N2O decomposition in excess of NO, O2, and H2O. Their de-N2O activity and resistance against inhibition by O2 and NO are determined by particle size: the smaller the particles, the better the performance. Application of cellulose and/or other organic templates provides opportunities for tuning particle size.
