Abstract

Microgrid is widely used in recent years, which can operate in grid-connected mode or islanded mode. For the islanded microgrid, one essential task is the accurate power sharing. With the hierarchical control, which is widely used in the microgrids, the active power sharing can be achieved accurately. However, due to the mismatched line impedances, the performance of the reactive power sharing is poor. In order to share the reactive power accurately, in this paper, a new control strategy, named enhanced consensus-based distributed control, is proposed, which introduces the consensus distribute protocol and the band-pass filter (BPF) into the typical hierarchical control. For the proposed strategy, the consensus distribute protocol is introduced to adaptively regulate the virtual impedance and share the reactive power accurately. Moreover, since the low band-width communication is usually needed in the hierarchical control, which can degrade the performance of the system, the BPF is applied in this paper without any communication lines and any control loops. Finally, simulation results are provided to confirm the validity and effectiveness of the proposed control strategy for the reactive power sharing in islanded MG.
