Abstract
OBJECTIVES: To correlate the histomorphological changes in PIH Placenta and low dose Aspirin received placenta.METHODS: This prospective study was conducted in 50 patients. They were divided into two groups. 25 placentas were collected from PIH patients and 25 placentas from patients who were treated with prophylactic low dose aspirin (75 mg) from 28th week of gestation. Results; Improved vascular bloodflow with reduced vessel wall changes and infarctswere noticed in the placenta of aspirin group. So there was a good placental weight and baby weight leading to a good neonatal outcome.
