Abstract

Systemic lupus erythematosus, referred to as SLE or lupus, is sometimes called the great imitator. Why? Because of its wide range of symptoms, people often confuse lupus with other health problems. We report the case of a 22-year-old woman who presented with a flaccid paralysis of limbs due to severe hypokalemia as a consequence of distal renal tubular acidosis (dRTA).
