Abstract
This article examines the profound impact of longdistance caregiving on family members and the loved ones for whom they are caring. It discusses the physical, emotional, and financial issues associated with long-distance caregiving and how longdistance caregivers can be better supported. The article also examines how the home care industry is addressing the specialized needs of these men and women who make up 15% of all long-distance caregivers as well as what is being done to supply the emotional and financial support necessary to maintain a better quality of life for all concerned.
