Abstract

The unsteady conduction mechanism during converting liquid water to ice has been analyzed in this research. The container with the shape of a rectangular closed cavity has been equipped with fins. Also, a mixture of CuO nano-powders and water has been applied to enhance the conduction mechanism that is the main force of the freezing. Effects of size and fraction of additives were investigated in the result section. Style of the mesh has altered with the increase of time. With increase of ϕ, the conduction mode has been improved about 39.04 % and freezing time reduces from 11.58 s to 7.06 s. The best size of CuO nano-powders is 40 nm and changing size from 30 to this optimized size makes freezing time decrease about 18.02 %.
