Abstract
Using a 3 inch (diameter) by 3 inch (length) NaI(Tl) inorganic scintillation detector, a gamma‐ray energy spectrum with and without timing method of 133Ba radioisotope was obtained by the developed spectrometer. In order to check the performance of the spectrometric method, the spectrometer was tested on the gamma energy spectrum of a 207Bi radioisotope. The method presented here was successful on the improvement of the energy resolution of the spectrometer.
