Abstract
Series expansion methods are used to study the quantum critical behavior of the bicubic spin-1/2 antiferromagnet. Excitation energies are computed throughout the Brillouin zone, for both the N\'eel and dimer phases. We compute the energy of the amplitude/Higgs mode and show that it becomes degenerate with the magnon modes at the quantum critical point, as expected on general symmetry grounds.
