Abstract

This paper presents a multiagent hierarchical energy management for interconnected multi-microgrids (MMG). In this procedure, firstly, each microgrid (MG) performs energy management based on the proposed optimization model to determine the surplus/shortage power and the charge and discharge power of battery energy storage system (BESS), in which the demand response programs (DRP) have been considered. The incorporation of DRP will increase the renewable energy consumption and reduce operational cost simultaneously. Then, the MMG energy management system (EMS) uses the received data to perform a global energy management based on the proposed optimization model, where the BESS of each MG and community BESS are considered to improve the utilization of renewable energy. In this paper, the optimization model based on mixed integer linear programming (MILP) is proposed for each step, which is easy to implement.
