Abstract

Greater efficiency in terms of utilization of energy in cooking can be achieved by reducing the use of small diameter saucepans. A sheet of household aluminium foil placed below the radiant ring of an electric cooker leads to small but significant energy savings. The life of rings could be shortened if a reflector is used without a saucepan.
