Abstract

Objectives: Endotracheal intubation (ETI) plays a central role in out-of-hospital airway management. However, supraglottic airway (SGA) insertion may be alternative to ETI due to simpler, quicker, and easier procedure in pediatric out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA). Thus far, there have been no studies examining the effect of ETI versus SGA insertion as a prehospital advanced airway management (AAM) in pediatric OHCA. We aimed to assess which AAM would be associated with increased chance of survival after pediatric OHCA.
