Abstract
Advances in minimally invasive surgery have led to adoption of newer techniques tackling difficult pelvic dissections. Interest in transanal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS) has increased in the last decade and aided in obtaining better visualization of planes and more accurate dissection.1 This approach has been adopted for a variety of applications beyond local excision of neoplasms.2 We present this case-video in order to show the benefits of the transanal approach for the local resection of a rectal GIST.
