Abstract
Objective To probe the indications and applied value of endoscopic treatment of the lesions in foramen of Monro region. Method20 cases of lesions in foramen of Monro region were selected. The bases of the solid tumors were cauterized,which made the tumors away from the foramen of Monro gradually,and the tumors were hold and took by forceps with endoscope. The cyst walls were excised directly or after cyst liquid taken out according to the quality of the lesions. The thinner obstructions of the foramen of Monro were penetrated. Results 9 astrocytomas were totally resected, 1 primitive neuroectodermal tumor was partially resected ;The walls of the cyst lesions were totally removed in 2 cases and partially excised in 4 ones. 2 cases of thin obstruction of the foramen of Monro were penetrated. All patients had no obvious complications, and had good long-term follow-up results. Condnsions Neuroendoscopic technique is feasible in the lesions in foramen of Monro region, which can improve the safety and the efficiency, and minimize brain trauma.
